China is the largest market in the world for cell phones.with roughly one billion mobile phone users. (India is not far behind with over 800 million.) Of course, industry is backed by their “state capitalism” model where the communist government subsidizes the companies. But then again, even the United States has a free government cell phones program for the poor.
